AEGEAN SALTED DATES
A super easy appetizer that celebrates the beautiful flavor of mastic, and meets those
sweet and salty cravings. Perfect with a glass of bubbly.
Extra virgin olive oil
Dates, unpitted (such as Medjool) 4-5 per person
Pit the dates (the ones with pits have better flavor.)
Heat 1/4" of olive oil over medium heat in a heavy bottomed sauté pan, such as cast iron. Add the dates all at once and cook, flipping occasionally so they don't burn, and until they are heated through (this should only take about 2-4 minutes, max!) Turn onto a serving platter and sprinkle quite generously with AEGEAN salt. Yum!
