Persian Summer Cooking 7/15/19

Monday, July 15th

Curious about Persian cooking? Join us for a spice-filled summer evening to learn about unique ingredients that make the Persian pantry special - saffron, barberries, fenugreek, rose petals - the list goes on! Learn techniques like how to make tahdig or fry barberries. While a lot of traditional Persian cooking features stews and braises that are great for a wintery evening, you’ll learn how to adapt authentic dishes to our hot New England summer, using your grill (and plenty of fresh herbs) to keep things breezy. You’ll enjoy a welcome cocktail and a feast of dishes, so come hungry!

David Yusefzadeh is the former sous-chef of the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong as well as its sister restaurant in Boston, and has worked in many fine dining establishments. As part of our team here at Curio he helps develop recipes and lends his cooking expertise to help our spices come alive in the kitchen. Having grown up eating Persian food every day, he is excited to share his passion for spices and cooking in this class.
